there are many reasons why time forgot this movie, not only because of its complete lack of acting talent or production value:
KISS MEETS PHANTOM OF THE PARK
yes, it is KISS, the rock band starring here.
what i learned from this movie: KISS have a secret life as part-time super heroes. they have magic powers, can shoot laser beams from their eyes and are great kung-fu fighters!
watch them fight evil ape robot hordes and more:

super monster of the month #9

as i just recently learned also denmark send a monster to the big screen with the mission to destroy the tourist hot-spots of its country. yeah, terror roams the land of the little mermaid, watch out for
REPTILICUS!
as you might already have guessed, neither that impressive monster from the above movie poster actually appears in the movie nor do they really had a bridge like that in denmark in 1962, when the movie was made (that changed recently). also when you think stop-motion technique and men in rubbersuits might look a little bit cheesy sometimes, you haven't seen this:
super (some kind of) robot toy of the month #12

superhero of the month #21

number 21 in this series is MURAT, the hero from a turkish bootleg version of STAR WARS.
what you can learn from this movie:
-use original INDIANA JONES music as soundtrack to mask the rip-off of original STAR WARS movie sequences
-avoid wasting money on expensive special effects - let your actors perform in front of a big tv screen showing expensive special effects from other movies
-action sequences become more exiting if you repeat them two or more times
-if you kick around stones they will explode
-if you kick around heads they will explode
-if you chomp darth vader into two halves with your bare hands the empire will explode
the movie also features some robot fighting, see EVIL BLUE ROBOT below:

fasten your seatbelts, the following take-out is quite a ride:

superhero of the month #20

never judge people from their outside appearance: the golden coloured skull man with the red cape in the picture above is actually the good guy.
OGON BATTU, the golden bat, aka FANTAMAN, aka PHANTOMA aka some other names around the globe.
he might actually be the first japanese superhero, as he made his first appearance in 1930.
this is from the 1966 movie version:
and this is the japanese anime version opening:
you can watch a whole episode on youtube - thai language version, what IMO adds even more to the fun...
and there are some nice toys of him, too.
